Cryogenic Rocket Engine

Image
Cryogenic Rocket Engine Meaning of Cryogenics                         In physics, cryogenics is the study of the production of very low temperature(below −150 °C, −238 °F or 123 K) and the behavior of materials at those temperatures Cryogenic technology : Cryogenic technology involves the use of rocket propellants at extremely low temperatures.  The combination of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen offers the highest energy efficiency for    rocket engines that need to produce large amounts of thrust.  Oxygen remains a liquid only at temperatures below minus 183 ° Celsius  and hydrogen at          below minus 253 ° Celsius.  History of Cryogenic Technology: The United States was the first country to develop cryogenic rocket engineswith RL-10 engines, re...

Pro-E General Functionality

General Functionality • Database management commands • Layer control for placing items on a layer and displaying layers • Measuring commands for distance, geometric information angle, clearance, and global interference on parts and assemblies • Viewing capabilities to pan, zoom, spin, shade, and re-orient models and drawings. The Function Modules of Pro/ENGINEER: The core of Pro/ENGINEER is the feature-based, parametric solid modeling system for modeling mechanical parts. The part model created by this system can be used to form mechanical assemblies and to produce engineering drawings. The model can also be used to carry out many other related analysis, simulation, planning and manufacturing activities such as the generation of CNC tool paths and Bills of Material. These extended functions are reflected by the following example Pro/ENGINEER modes. BASIC MODES Sketcher      :                   ...

Pro/ENGINEER Functionality

Image
Pro/ENGINEER Functionality The basic functionality of Pro/ENGINEER is broken into four major areas: •          Part Modeling and Design •          Assembly Modeling and Design •          Design Documentation (Drawing Generation) •          General Functionality                                 Part Design and Modeling Defining Geometry - Feature-Based Design • Create sketched features including protrusions, cuts, and slots made by either extruding, revolving, or sweeping along a 2D sketched trajectory, or blending between parallel sections  • Create pick and place features, such as holes, shafts, chamfers, rounds, shells, regular drafts, flanges, ribs, etc.  • Sketch c...

Pro-ENGINEER

An Overview of Pro/ENGINEER The Foundation of Pro/ENGINEER What is Pro/ENGINEER?                     Pro/ENGINEER is a computer graphics system for modeling various mechanical designs and for performing related design and manufacturing operations.                 The system uses a 3D solid modeling system as the core, and applies the feature-based, parametric modeling method. In short, Pro/ENGINEER is a feature-based, parametric solid modeling system with many extended design and manufacturing applications. How is Pro/ENGINEER different from other CAD systems?             Pro/ENGINEER was the first CAD system entirely based upon feature-based design and parametric modeling. Today most software producers have recognized the advantage of this approach an...

CAD (COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING)

CAD (COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING)           It is the application of conventional computer techniques with the aid of data processing systems to present a graphical solution.           It deals with the creation, storage and manipulation of models of objects and pictures via computer COMMAND AREA:            It is ear marked at the bottom of the screen and the commands may be entered in this area by key boards to achieve communication with the computer. SCREEN MENU AREA:              It is the area on the right hand side of the screen. This command can be selected by key board/mouse/digitizer. STATUS LINE AND MENU BAR AREA:                 This is available at the top of the screen and commands may be entered from with the help of pull down menu. DRAWING AREA: ...

Silencer

Image
Silencer                           In this project we are going to reduce the pollution effect of engine exhaust and generating electrical power from the exhaust gas.                       The exhaust manifold of engine is fixed with silencer , the exhaust consists of monoixide , co2 , carbon and other pollutants. In this the pollution is reduced and power is obtained by some external setup in silencer as shown in fig.  It consists of   Silencer  nozzle   impeller blades   dynamo and  monoixide cylinder  Working: As the engine exhaust is supplied with monoixide from cylinder hence the monoixid in exhaust is raised as oxygen by molicular mixing, and hence the volume and pressure also incr...

HYDRAULIC LIFTING SYSTEM FOR FOUR WHEELER

Image
HYDRAULIC LIFTING SYSTEM FOR FOUR WHEELER SYNOPSIS                                Here we have fabricate the hydraulic lifting system for four wheeler for the lifting system is which is very helpful for the all four wheelers. The main reason to fabricate this equipment is easy to handle the vehicle during puncture or some repairs made in critical situation without arranging the lifting arrangements externally. In our project is fixed on the vehicle and the vehicle can move up by just operating the motor in this equipment. So we can easily make the lifting operation by this equipment. This equipment is suitable for all four wheeler vehicles. METHODOLOGY This project consists the following parts  Hydraulic jack  Motor   Cam   Moving shaft  Guide  Battery   Control unit WORKING PRINCIPLE               The equipment ...

HAND OPERATED MIXI WITH DOUBLE JAR

Image
HAND OPERATED MIXI WITH DOUBLE JAR SYNOPSIS The main aim of the project is to save the electrical power, time consumption during the vegetable processing in homes, hotels and fast food stalls. The power source is considered to be mechanical power due to its availability. This arrangement consists of handle, spur gear, container and cutting blades. WORKING PRINCIPLE  The vegetables are poured into the container. The blade are arranged inside the container which is shown in the line diagram. The blade are rotated manually by using the handle. The handles are connected to the gear attachment. The gear attachment is used to increase the speed of the blade rotation. In this equipment, we can grind vegetables by using manual rotation power. This process requires no electrical power. This type of system is very useful for home and fast food stalls. ADVANTAGES Ø No electrical power required Ø Consumes less time Ø Low maintenance Ø Quick output APPLICATION Ø ...

Hardness test

Image
Hardness test:         BRINELL HARDNESS TEST:      Dr J. A. Brinell invented the Brinell test in Sweden in 1900. The oldest of the hardness test methods in common use today, the Brinell test is frequently used to determine the hardness of forgings and castings that have a grain structure too course for Rockwell or Vickers testing. Therefore, Brinell tests are frequently done on large parts. By varying the test force and ball size, nearly all metals can be tested using a Brinell test. Brinell values are considered test force independent as long as the ball size/test force relationship is the same.              Brinell Test Method: All Brinell tests use a carbide ball indenter. The test procedure is as follows: • The indenter is pressed into the sample by an accurately controlled test force. • The force is maintained for a specific dwell time, normally 10 - 15 seconds. • After the dwell time...
